MyWhoosh 6.2.0 Is Here — Ride Smarter, Capture More, and Stay in the Loop

MyWhoosh 6.2.0 brings a few big changes to the way you train, ride and keep track of what’s happening around you.

There’s a new Smart Workout Selector to help you find the right session for the day, a completely refreshed MyWhoosh Link App, automatic Video Highlights for eligible events, and Pulse News to give useful updates while you ride.

We’ve also made improvements to power response and compatibility with older smart trainers.

Here’s what’s new:

Smart Workout Selector

You’ve got time to ride. The harder question is what to do with it.

The new Smart Workout Selector helps narrow that decision down by looking at your recent training, fitness data and how you’re feeling today, then recommending three sessions from the MyWhoosh workout library.

Each recommendation also explains why it has been selected, so you have a little more context before deciding what to ride.

Before it gets to work, you’ll answer a few quick questions about the session you want:

Tell the selector how today feels, and it finds sessions to match.

Instead of scrolling through the full workout library, you get three options that fit the time, focus and effort you’re looking for that day.

MyWhoosh Link App V3

The MyWhoosh Link App gives you events, messages and live ride tools from your phone. Version 3 brings a cleaner layout and makes it easier to move between your training, activity, teams, events, messages and live ride tools from your phone.

Some of the biggest changes include:

The features you already use are still there, but the new structure makes them easier to find and makes your training easier before, during and after your ride.

Event Video Highlights

Now you can capture the story of your ride, not just the numbers. After completing an eligible event, MyWhoosh automatically compiles a short 30-second highlight of your session, comprising of a five-second intro and around 20 seconds of your best in-game moments.

Video Highlights is live for Cycling events, with Running and Rowing planned for a future update. You need to finish the event to generate a highlight.

Once your ride ends, keep the highlight option ticked on the upload screen and it’s sent to your profile on the MyWhoosh website find it under Profile. Event Highlights, where you can preview, download, and share it.

Pulse News

There’s usually more happening in MyWhoosh than what’s directly in front of your avatar. Pulse News brings some of that activity into your ride through a small feed of relevant updates.

While riding, you may see things such as:

Pulse sits quietly by default, and you can expand it when something catches your eye or hide it completely when you just want to ride. Pulse News is available in Free Ride and MyBunch 24×7.

More Improvements in 6.2.0

There are a couple of smaller changes in this update that should make a noticeable difference on the bike.

Faster power response

Changes in your power should now appear on screen more quickly when you accelerate or ease off. That makes short efforts, attacks and changes of pace feel more responsive, particularly when the watts are moving quickly.

Improved support for older smart trainers

We’ve also improved compatibility with a number of older smart trainers, including models in the Garmin Tacx Flux range. That means more riders can continue using the hardware they already have with MyWhoosh.

Update to MyWhoosh 6.2.0 and take the new features for a ride.
