MyWhoosh 5.6.0 — Expanding Training, Enhancing Fair Play
MyWhoosh 5.6.0 marks another major step forward in our mission to build the most open, multi-sport virtual training platform. With the introduction of rowing, advanced running workout tools, and stronger fair-play controls, this update delivers meaningful improvements for athletes of all levels.
Rowing Mode — A New Discipline Joins MyWhoosh
MyWhoosh expands beyond cycling and running with the launch of Rowing Mode, opening the platform to a whole new training discipline. Athletes can now experience immersive indoor rowing sessions within the MyWhoosh ecosystem, complete with performance tracking and virtual environments.
At launch, Concept2 rowers are fully supported, ensuring reliable data accuracy and a familiar setup for experienced rowers. Additional rowing hardware models are planned for future updates, allowing even more athletes to take part.
Rowing Mode strengthens MyWhoosh’s multi-sport vision — giving users the freedom to train, compete, and explore across disciplines, all within a single platform.

Custom Workout Builder for Running — Train With Precision
Running training on MyWhoosh takes a major step forward with the introduction of the Custom Workout Builder for Running. Athletes can now design structured running workouts tailored to their goals, pacing strategies, and intensity preferences.
The new builder offers:
-
Clear interval-based workout creation
-
Improved visualization of workout structure and progression
-
Greater control for runners following structured plans or coached programs
This update empowers runners to move beyond generic sessions and take full ownership of their training — whether preparing for events, improving endurance, or following a personalized plan.

Fair Play Improvements — Stronger Integrity Across Events
To further strengthen competitive integrity, MyWhoosh introduces enhanced Fair Play measures for selected events.
For eligible races:
-
Active heart rate monitoring is now required
-
A brief reconnection window is allowed for temporary signal drops
-
Event policing can be applied alongside category-based rules
These improvements build on MyWhoosh’s existing policing system, ensuring riders compete on equal terms and that results reflect genuine performance.
