With three new UAE Team Emirates workouts on MyWhoosh, you can train like two-time Tour de France champion Tadej Pogačar.

With MyWhoosh, you, too, will have access to decades of training wisdom used to create the training plans employed by Tadej for widely different races throughout the year—from the early-season UAE Tour and Tirreno-Adriatico, through defending his Tour de France titles, and then the finale at Il Lombardia, in October.
These #trainliketadej workouts were created with the guidance of Dr. Iñigo San-Millán, a pioneer in sports science and expert in training for cycling. Dr. San-Millán is faculty at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and the University of Colorado, in Colorado Springs, and he is currently the Director of Performance for Team UAE Emirates.
WORKOUT AND WIN
Each week of the 2022 Tour, MyWhoosh will reward two athletes with a complete MyWhoosh cycling kit. You don’t have to repeat the three #trainliketadej workouts unless you want to. There are hundreds of workouts from which to choose, so you can change your training each day to suit your needs and meet your goals!
The complete MyWhoosh GOBIK® cycling kit includes:
- A customized short sleeve cycling jersey
- A customized pair of bib shorts
- Cycling socks and gloves
How to win:
METHOD 1 – TRAIN AS MUCH AS YOU CAN
The MyWhoosh user with the greatest number of hours spent working out with MyWhoosh will get to win a complete cycling kit. One user will win each week, starting from July 1 and ending in the third week of July!
METHOD 2 – TRAIN AND SHARE
Take a selfie on the trainer riding MyWhoosh with your ride results and post to Instagram tagging @MyWhoosh and use the hashtag #TrainLikeTadej. This has to be a post on your feed and not just a story. We will choose one winner from the selfies posted and tagged each week of the 2022 Tour.
Winners will be announced at the end of each week of July!
UAE TEAM EMIRATES WORKOUTS
This pre-race workout is intended to be completed the day prior to racing. You’ll be taken though a training session that will “open up your legs” to prepare you for the fast start of a race.
Tadej can drop his rivals on long climbs by forcing them out of their comfort zone, and when they are suffering, he then “turns the screws” and burns them off as the roads slope skyward. Long threshold efforts are some of the most effective types of workouts at building fitness.
Beginning with a short warmup, this workout will ask you to ride at—and just above—your threshold power after first expending a considerable amount of effort at a slightly lower power output. You’ll start this workout in your Zone 2 before moving to 2 x 15 minutes at your threshold.
Tadej Pogačar is tops when it comes to attacking on the steepest climbs. If you want to #trainliketadej you’ll need to perfect your climbing skills—attacking out of the saddle even after a period of hard riding—to execute race-winning moves!
After a warmup period, this workout will ask you to ride for an extended period of time in your Zone 2 effort followed by high-intensity VO2max efforts.

STEP 2: Scroll down in the list of workouts seen on the left side of the menu and select UAE Team Emirates
STEP 3: Select a Train Like Tadej workout of your choice
STEP 4: Adjust your FTP accordingly
STEP 5: Hit WORKOUT
