Humans of MyWhoosh: Bridget Bremmer
Bridget Bremner, 50, is a cyclist from Australia and has been an active MyWhoosh user since its inception. From early on in her life, she enjoyed cycling and had an active lifestyle. In 2023, everything changed when she found a lump in her breast, which was later diagnosed as Breast cancer.
“It felt like life was imploding in flames. I always found cycling and exercising therapeutic but during my treatment period, it was challenging to stay motivated and do what I have done for years.” The absence of movement and cycling left her feeling unbalanced, so upon a friend’s suggestion she tried MyWhoosh and has never gone back since then.
“Training on MyWhoosh helped me regain my fitness and I also discovered a strength I didn’t realize I had”, she explains. “The realistic routes and riding experience made me feel like I was out on the road again, while still being indoors.”
Through MyWhoosh, Bridget also connected with a supportive community who encouraged her along the way. Now, after fighting her way through all the challenges, she lives by a simple belief that life can change unexpectedly, so it is important to pursue what one enjoys the most.
