Welcome to the September edition of the Tune Up Tuesday! The events will take place on Tuesday on the 6th, 13th and 20th of September. Two regional Tune Up-Tuesday events will be held using Oceania and UAE timeframes – Oceania (AEST) 6pm (male/female) and UAE (GST) 5pm male/6pm female.
We have received valuable feedback from our Tune-Up Tuesday racers. Many of you loved the segments in the routes and asked for Tune Up-Tuesday to continue as a “Points Race”. For Series 3, that’s exactly what we have done. We have created a race series based on points for the fastest segment times whilst also rewarding our top finishers. Many of you don’t want to pre register and would like to join the event just before it starts. For September, we have made this happen. Just select Tune Up Tuesday from the Daily Event List and click Join. You can do this as late as 2 minutes before the event starts!
The Tuesday Tune-Up “Point Score” will be on three consecutive Tuesday evenings starting Sept 6. It will feature weekly stages of approximately 20km each. The stages will be made up of;
Stage 1 – “Super Sprint” – 5 short sprint segments
Stage 2 – “The Climb and Descent” – 5 Segments, including the Heritage Climb and Heritage Descent Segments
Stage 3 – “The Rouleur” – 5 Segments, some short, some long and some hilly.
Points will be based on the fastest through the segments. It is up to you to decide to go for the overall finish position or cruise and sprint the segments. Maybe even do both.

2 – 16th Aug
Heritage Lap (Climb)
3 – 23rd Aug
Overall Leader – Yellow Jersey
The rider with the lowest overall time following each stage will wear the Yellow Jersey for the next stage.
Team Leader – Blue & Gold Jersey
The team with the lowest overall time of their best placed top 3 riders following each stage will all wear the Blue & Gold Jersey for the next stage.
How to enter Tune Up Tuesday Racing?
It’s easy, create a MyWhoosh account on our website, register for the event here (at least 24 hours before the event) then download the latest version of the app on your device. Open the app at least an hour before the race, connect your trainer and heart rate and join the event. We do suggest a ride or two on MyWhoosh before the race to check out our fantastic features.
